Deepen your devotional time with these helpful bible study products
I’ll be honest: my daily devotional time wasn’t daily at all. I struggled to be consistent. A million thoughts would fill my mind when I was supposed to be praying, and the Bible was sometimes difficult to understand. I fell into a routine of reading a short devotional and scripture each day. But I knew this wasn’t enough. I wanted to draw closer to God and deepen my relationship with Him. I needed to learn how to dig deeper into the word, read it consistently, and be more intentional and focused with my prayer time. Eventually, I discovered some helpful bible study products that let me do just that.
Love God Greatly Bible Study
I love the Love God Greatly Bible studies because they’re written by women, specifically for women. They produce 6-7 studies every year, each lasting 4-6 weeks and covering various topics or specific books of the Bible. They use the SOAP method of Bible study, which encourages you to slow down and really digest what you read.
You can follow their reading plans with printed and digital versions of their Bible study journal or use their app. You can also connect with a community of women through their Facebook group, so you don’t have to do it alone.
Daily Grace and Co Bible Study
Daily Grace and Co. is another company that produces helpful Bible study products for women. They have a vast selection of beautifully designed Bible study guides. Each lasts 4-5 weeks, and they are ideal if you want to study at your own pace.
Their Bible study guides function as a journal and devotional, with prompts and space to write your thoughts.
Give Me Jesus Journal
I love using the Give Me Jesus Journal for my Love God Greatly SOAP Bible studies. Each day is allocated a page, with space to write your scriptures, observations, application, and prayer.
Seeing all the writing space can be a bit intimidating at first. However, once you get going with the SOAP method, the words will begin to flow, and you may eventually find that you run out of space!
Val Marie Paper Yearly Prayer Journal
Prayer has brought me through some challenging periods in my life. But as time passes, the enemy tries to minimize the impact of your prayers, convincing you that what you went through wasn’t as bad as you remember and God doesn’t deserve the glory. So, I needed a place to record my prayers so that I could look back and remember all God had done.
The Val Marie Paper’s yearly prayer journal allows you to write a list of prayer points for different areas of your life each month and check them off when the prayer is answered. I use it during my prayer time to track my prayers.
Jot It Down Journal
Have you ever written notes for a sermon or webinar and forgotten which notebook you wrote them in? I certainly have! I have years’ worth of notes across multiple notebooks and have to search through each one to find anything.
The Jot It Down journal solves this problem. Each page is numbered, and there’s an index at the front to write the title and date of your notes to find them easily. There are pages allocated for 50 entries, with space to write the date, speaker, title, Bible passage discussed, what you learned about God and how you can apply it to your life.
Abide Journal
You may have gathered that I have a thing for notebooks and journals. I like having a dedicated book for different tasks. But if you’d rather have everything in one place, the Abide Journal from Daily Grace and Co. is a great solution.
It combines a Bible journal, prayer journal, gratitude journal, and notebook in one! It uses a slightly different study method than SOAP, with guided questions encouraging you to dive deeper into the scriptures. However, its process is fully explained with plenty of prompts and examples. I will sometimes switch and use it when I want to do my Bible study in a different way.
Pilot Frixion Erasable Pens
I use these Pilot Frixion pens to write everything! The best thing about them is that they are erasable, which is great for perfectionists like me. I can refine my thoughts without making a mess. They are also refillable, so you can replace the ink cartridge when it runs out. They come in various colors, but I usually stick to blue.
Final thoughts
If you want to revitalize your devotional time and dig deeper into the word, try using these helpful Bible study products. They will help you establish a consistent habit and encourage you to develop a deeper relationship with God.
